Friends Indeed: How Africans rallied to support India in 1962

India enjoyed such immense goodwill in Africa that there was a major outpouring of support for the country during its 1962 border war with China.

The 1962 India-China war was an absolutely unnecessary conflict that has poisoned relations between the two countries ever since. The aim of this post is not to talk about that war and blame one side or the other, but to highlight how Africans looked at that conflict and more importantly, how they felt about India at that time.
