Malabar Spring: The changing face of northern Kerala

Construction activity is reaching a fever pitch in the Malabar region, with high-rises coming up in the most unexpected of corners.

Morning and evening walks are a great way to explore unfamiliar locales. A few months ago when I walked from Verem to Reis Magos for a morning walk, I noticed how new hotels and luxury condominiums were coming up everywhere in this 5-kilometre stretch.
